As part of the Overseas Sustainable Innovation Project (LEX), I spent two weeks in Chiang Mai, Thailand, collaborating with RMUTL and the villagers of Baan Ton Haen Noi Village. By staying in the village, I gained firsthand insight into the local culture, community, and tourism challenges.
Applying the Design Thinking process, my team developed sustainable tourism solutions, including souvenir packaging, mobile retail carts, social media strategies, and visitor itineraries to enhance the village’s tourism experience.
This experience strengthened my problem-solving, adaptability, teamwork, and cross-cultural communication skills. It also gave me the opportunity to experience university life in Thailand, build meaningful friendships, and see how innovation can create a positive impact for local communities.
